Affiliate Disclosure

1. The short version

Some links inside Finintel — particularly inside the global news feed on the Premium tier — are affiliate links. If you click one and complete a sign-up, purchase, or qualifying action with the partner, Finintel may receive a commission from that partner.

This commission does not increase the price you pay. The partner pays us a referral fee out of their own marketing budget, in exchange for sending them a qualified user.

2. Why we use affiliate links

Finintel sells a software subscription. We do not sell user data, run advertising trackers, or rent your attention to advertisers. Affiliate revenue lets us keep the product affordable, the free tier genuinely free, and the privacy stance strict — without compromising on either.

It also lets us point you to real third-party services (banks, brokers, insurance, money transfer) where there is a clear next step beyond what Finintel itself can do.

3. How affiliate suggestions appear in Finintel

Affiliate links appear primarily inside the global news feed (a Premium feature) using a three-slot suggestion structure under each story:

Slot 3 is the only place an affiliate link normally appears in the news feed. It will be empty when no partner genuinely matches the story category and your region. We deliberately choose to show nothing rather than force an irrelevant recommendation.

Affiliate links may also appear in occasional contextual suggestions inside relevant engines (for example, an insurance partner suggested when you complete the Insurance Adequacy Engine). These are similarly category-matched and region-aware.

4. How partners are selected

We choose affiliate partners against the following internal rules:

• Category match. The partner is offering a product that's genuinely relevant to the news story or the engine output (loans, investing, insurance, money transfer, credit score, tax filing, etc.).
• Region availability. The partner is licensed and operational in the user's country — we don't show India-only loan partners to users in the EU.
• Quality bar. The partner is one we'd actually recommend to a friend, not the partner offering the highest commission. We do not promote products we wouldn't use ourselves.
• Independence. Affiliate revenue does not influence which engines we build, how we score risks, what our Decision Planner recommends, or any other algorithmic output. The intelligence layer is partner-blind.

If no partner meets these rules for a given context, slot 3 stays empty. We'd rather show nothing than show a recommendation we don't believe in.

5. Identification of affiliate links

All affiliate links inside Finintel are identifiable. They are:

• Visually distinct from internal Finintel links (different styling, partner brand name shown).
• Labelled with the partner's name — for example, "Compare home loan rates · via [Partner]" rather than a hidden redirect.
• Clearly placed in slot 3 of the news suggestion structure, separate from internal Finintel actions in slot 2.
• Tagged in the user interface with a small "Sponsored" or "Partner" indicator where required by local law.

6. Categories of partners (illustrative)

Finintel may operate affiliate relationships with partners in the following categories, depending on user region and product category match:

• Loan and credit comparison platforms
• Investment platforms and brokerages
• Insurance comparison and policy platforms
• International money transfer services
• Credit score and financial health checks
• Tax filing and tax advisory platforms

The specific list of partners changes over time as we add, remove, or rotate relationships. The current active partner list at any time is shown to you in-context within the app, never in hidden tracking.

7. What this means for your data

Clicking an affiliate link redirects you to the partner's own website or app, where their privacy policy, terms, and tracking practices apply. Once you leave Finintel, we no longer control how your information is used.

Finintel itself does not pass your personal financial data to partners. The affiliate link contains a non-personal tracking parameter that lets the partner credit Finintel for the referral; it does not include your name, email, account balance, or any other Finintel data.

8. Your choice

Affiliate suggestions are always optional. You can:

• Ignore slot 3 entirely — the news story and the internal tool work without it.
• Use the partner directly without our affiliate link if you prefer; we have no exclusivity over their product.
• Disable partner suggestions in your account settings, where supported — the news feed and engines continue to work with slots 1 and 2 only.

9. Regulatory framework

This disclosure is provided in accordance with applicable advertising and consumer-protection guidelines, including:

• The U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Endorsement Guides;
• The Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) guidelines on influencer and affiliate disclosure;
• EU consumer protection rules on commercial communications;
• The UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) guidance on online endorsements.

10. Changes to this disclosure

We may update this disclosure as our partner mix, regions, or applicable regulations evolve. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Finintel after a change indicates acceptance of the updated disclosure.
